JKSV Comparisons & Alternatives

How does JKSV compare with the other ways Switch owners protect their saves? This hub collects our head-to-head comparisons, all written against the current versions of each tool, plus the official cloud service every owner asks about. Start with JKSV itself on the download page if you have not installed it yet.

Head-to-head comparisons

• JKSV vs Checkpoint — the fair, current comparison with Checkpoint v5.3.0: Switch-only depth and cloud auto-upload vs Switch + 3DS breadth and FTP/WiFi sharing.
• JKSV vs Neumann — full-featured versus minimal: when Neumann’s simplicity is the right call and when JKSV’s batch, cloud and advanced features matter.
• Best Switch save managers — the shortlist of JKSV, Checkpoint and Neumann with a clear recommendation per kind of user.

Versus the official service

• JKSV vs Nintendo Switch Online cloud saves — coverage of supported games only and a subscription, versus complete local files you control on a modded Switch 1.

Our rule for comparisons here is simple: current versions only, real feature differences only, and a recommendation by scenario rather than a single winner for everyone. Tools that are actively developed, as Checkpoint is, get described as they are today.
