Release line

  • 12/02/2025 — current. Fixed a crash involving Keep Local Backups interacting with auto-backup behaviour; applet mode re-enabled with an official warning (Title Override remains recommended); English Safe Titles setting added.
  • 11/16/2025. Compatibility update for system 21.0.0 with the latest libnx; JKSV gained the ability to check for and download its own updates; applet mode temporarily disabled in this release; WebDAV fixes and cache save improvements.
  • 09/13/2025. Follow-up release in the rewritten line, refining the new codebase after its August debut.
  • 08/25/2025 — the rewrite launches. JKSV was rewritten from scratch in 2025, sharing no code with the earlier versions. This is the codebase every current feature — Google Drive and WebDAV cloud backup, batch backups, all save types, SVI import and save resizing — is built on.
  • 11/05/2024 — last pre-rewrite release. The final release of the original codebase, shipped with both .nro and .zip assets, before the 2025 rewrite replaced it entirely.

The lineage behind these dates goes back further: JKSV began as a Switch port of JKSM, J-D-K’s 2016 save manager for the Nintendo 3DS. The 2025 rewrite cut that code connection while keeping the name, the author and the purpose. For environment context, the current CFW pairing is Atmosphère 1.12.1 with Hekate v6.5.4.
